Stone Edge Conservation carry out numerous commercial projects, where priorities typically include minimising disruption on the day to day operations of the occupants and ensuring works are undertaken in a timely manner. We consistently achieve these goals and regularly advise clients on alternative and more suitable methods to save time and money.

Working closely with various conservation architects and local PCC’s we have been involved in the restoration of numerous religious buildings over the years. Stone Edge Conservation carry out critical works including replacement roofs and re-building crumbling masonry, to rectifying unsympathetic repairs undertaken throughout the building’s history. Sourcing materials to match centuries old building fabric is a key component to the success of such projects.

Working in the Education Sector poses it's own unique set of challenges. Restrictions on timings as to when works can be undertaken often means condensing projects into a short programme. Having our own DBS checked in-house labour enables us to resource such projects without any hinderance on the institutions strict timetables.

We take pride being involved in these unique projects which ensure the future preservation of historically significant buildings. These demand the highest level of craftsmanship and understanding of the construction processes that went into them. Our in-house team of specialist craftspeople ensure works are carried out sympathetically with minimum intervention.

Public spaces can range from museums and galleries to theatres, stately homes and civic buildings. Some are fully occupied, whilst others may have been left abandoned for many years. Quite often these projects require multi-disciplinary trades, some of which will be carried out by our in-house craftspeople and some by approved specialist sub-contractors, with whom we have a long-standing relationship.

Residential works have their own unique set of challenges, not least the fact that the buildings are usually fully occupied and effectively every resident is a client. Such projects demand a high level of supervision and communication which is provided by our fully qualified and experienced managers.
