The former Brunel University Runnymede campus has a long and colourful history with the site dating back to the 16th century.
The Victorian Gothic building is now being transformed from student accommodation to a luxury retirement community. The history of the building will be respected, as the imposing Pillar and President’s Halls are being restored for use as communal space, with apartments above. Stone EdgeConservation will be working for main contractor, Balfour Beatty, to carry out façade cleaning and masonry repairs, using DOFF and JOS/TORC systems. We will also be surveying the brick and bathstone façades. Work at Runnymede is ongoing and will continue until the summer.
