York Terrace West

This John Nash design, Grade I Listed, Georgian terrace overlooking Regent’s Park lies within the Crown Estate conservation area. Stone Edge Conservation were awarded the 2021 quinquennial façade maintenance works.

The works to this prestigious residential block were required to comply with the Crown Estate and Royal Parks guidelines. A full access scaffold was erected to all elevations to enable the works to be carried out safely and efficiently. This was undertaken in sections to minimise the disruption to the fully occupied residences.

A large proportion of this particular quinquennial repair schedule was related to the installation of a new liquid applied roofing overlay system to each of the five blocks. Owing to the regular maintenance of the facades, masonry and joinery repairs were limited. A thorough survey of both elements was undertaken by our full-time site management team recording every repair with supporting photographs and drawings. Once these repairs had been undertaken all masonry, joinery and metalwork was decorated in accordance with the Dulux and Crown Estates Architects guidelines.
