Stone Edge Conservation have undertaken a number of phases of repairs at St Paulinus Church in Crayford. The latest scope of works included the introduction of new french drains to the perimeter of the Church.

During the careful excavation for the drainage and pathways intact human remains were uncovered. As expected works were placed on hold immediately whilst the appointed archaeologists were allowed to investigate and carefully remove the skeleton to be interned in a safe location within the churchyard.

In addition to this discovery, previously unknown footings were exposed that pre-dated any previously known of the church, these were carefully recorded prior to being covered over for protection.
